Default Is it worth is???

I have a 2001 Dodge 2500. Is it any gain to deleted the muffler and cat? Is it worth anything at all or better to leave it all on?

i dont know if you'll notice any seat of the pants difference, but it will let the truck breathe better and it will sound alot better

If you like it loud, then do it... You aren't going to gain any HP by doing it though.

yep, let her breathe... or just upgrade to 4" turbo back exhaust!! Those stock mufflers are pretty restriced.. you dont need the resonator or the muffler in that case and by hacking off both of them it wont throw any codes either!! You truck will rev just a tick faster too.. thats what mine did when it was stock...about 5 years ago!

I don't know PA but if they do emmisions testing or vehicle checks there I would leave them on. Unless you like paying fines.

I removed the muffler on my first 01 and it did let it breathe better but when i was towing a trailer the interior noize was not worth the gain so on my current 01 i put a 4 inch turbo back system on and love it

cut them off, its a muffler and a resonator not a cat, so emmissions has nuttin to do with it, the truck will breath much better, show less EGT.........I would install a cat back system with muff though but try it first
