All right , the truck is a 98 dodge cummins w/ auto trans 4x4 2500hd.
The truck is shifting back and forth between drive and overdrive in cold weather. It's doiing it excessivly now. It started 2 winters ago. Fluid and filter have been changed, I don't know what else to do.
When its warm it's fine , it's not the standard torque converter lock up to warm up the tranny. At 55it just surges shifting in and out. At 65 it will stay in OD . Am I looking at a bad shift solinoid torque converter or vavle body?
Any help would be appreciated.

 

Need to reset your Apps

 

How do you do this?? Reset you apps. My Tranny has an issue with this also.

 

Do a search for apps reset. Its really simple!
I do mine evry few months just because!
It helps keep my mpg's up!
Also try cleaning your battery terminals. Dirty connection can cause noise!
Also as these trucks get older noise can be caused by other things!
There is an aftermarket noise filter for this too!
Start simple and work from there!
