Default Lift Pump In Now What?

i got my airdog in and i drove the truck and it runs perfect, actually better than before, does this mean i caught the lift pump in time to save the vp44 or will the vp44 go soon?

When I bought my last Cummins I put a fuel pressure gauge on it and it had 0. I replaced the Lift Pump and drove the truck for over a yr and never had any VP44 issues. There is no telling how long the truck was ran with 0 fuel pressure. Some VP's are better than others or some people just have better luck.

I think some new sticks and a set of twins would help it though

make sure to put a fuel pressure gauge on it too. the fuel filter is important to keep changed too. some people over look that too. I work on a 99 dodge it had a fuel pressure gauge on it. when you went to the floor it would peg 0. put a airdog fass pump on it. peg still go to 0. then we change the fuel filter. guess what it stays around 14 now. so make sure you keep it changed too.

Add a shot of 2 cycle oil to the fuel to help lube up the pump...
