What's Stock Boost

friend would like to know what his truck should be making trying to get him to get some guages and a programmer. 2001 ho 6spd 4x4

26psi is stock boost level for that truck.

when i was bone stock i saw like....17 or 18 PSI.....

my dad was trying to say they only made 12 but my truck is a so motor and I was getting 20 before the jhook was installed so I didn't believe him.
