Default Cruise control woes

The cruise control light does not come on I changed the switch and that didn't help from what I can tell this truck has and ecm controlled cruise instead of vacuum controlled cruise regardless all blower positions work(no broken vacuum lines&#128513
This truck is an 02 3500 4x4 6speed manual any help or points n the right direction would b greatly appreciated

I have heard people having issues with the clock spring not letting the cruise kick on. How to change it out I don't know but I am sure there are a few write ups on google.

Sounds like the clock spring. It's located in the steering wheel column. Does your horn work?
