Got a nv5600 and 6th gear is grinding on me as I put it in. I have a small oil leak where the drive shaft comes out of the transfer case. #1 is the oil for tranny and transfer case together or separate? I want to check levels so I dont lose too much and drive with no oil in there. Is the seal fixable without taking it apart? #2 is my tranny trash or will a oil help calm the grinding down? I like Pennzoil syncromesh but not sure if i can run that in the nv5600. Im sure its the synchronizer thats goin bad and the nv5600 is hardto rebuild so I wanna get as much life out of it as I can. Especially cuz I need a clutch put in and that with a tranny is well above what I can afford right now
