2001 cummins spuddering dead pedal??
Hey guys, ive tried to find a thread with a similar problem but nothing was the same nor did i want to hijack it so im doing a new one. I have a 2001 dodge ram 3500 HO with the nv5600. Recently the truck has been doing this surging spudder when you first take off. it does feel like your foot slipped off the pedal but only for a short moment and it kicks back in like bucking, when the throttle is held at a constant around 1800 rpm. If i hammer the gas or let off, its totally fine as long as im moving the pedal. you can see the tach just barely wiggle due to the small surging at high speeds, no one else has noticed ever when i try to explain.
i forget the codes that were given but one was a vss sensor the first time (but i think thats because of slipping on ice), with a programing error code and the multiple code code.
i rmoved my smarty since then and been driving on stock,
a day later, the worst time it happened it looked like ive never driven stick in my life in the parking lot, and the CEL lit up, which it didnt for the first set. the codes were TPS low voltage, Lift pump low voltage and the multi code code again which i think it p1963 if im not mistaken
The pedal never goes completely dead and it only thew those codes those 2 times and its been doing this for about a week, the trucks never died either
YOu can also notice the tach jump a little at cold idle but warm idle its fine. i wonder if its the grid heater just kicking on and off doing that tho, but sometimes you kinda hear a slight skip......everyone thinks im crazy and nothings wrong cause its so slight but i know there is. any ideas??

any thoughts are much appreciated

Well this is the same issue i had does it blow white smoke when the happens ??? If so i bet the vp took a dump as that is what happend to me but probe your apps to see what voltage its geting it will say right on the back theres a sticker and it will say what the starting voltage should be anything different and it either needs reset or replaced but i dought thats the issue vp is what i suspect
Update..
I have tested the apps to the best of my knowledge and i didnt see a dead spot. but i dont know which wire to use to test voltage? the back voltage is .470. I recently increased the psi on my raptor beacause WOT made it drop to 8, so now it only drops to about 12 and the truck seems to be better? but its only been a day of small driving.
How do you test the APPS voltage? and it doesnt blow white smoke to my knowledge
Appreciate the help so far guys

so i finally fixed the problem!!!!

i decided to try a new APPS because i have had the p0122 code a few times after a really bad spudder. So i orderd a timbo APPS and my problems are solved!! its a brand new truck and it drives like a dream
