Well the check engine light is not on.

 

that doesn't mean there are not trouble codes in the computer.

key on/off 3 times leaving it on the 3rd time (without starting the truck) it will display codes on your odometer.

 

I don't think codes can be read from the check engine light on a 1999. Are you sure?

now that you mention that jigabop i did have a card come with mine when i bought it and sent it in, hopefully within the 30 days cant remember its been 3 years ago. guess if something happens i will find out
