Has anybody had an issue where the trans cooler line closest to the drivers side leak due to vibration on the frame? My line looks like somebody took a sander to the line and the frame. I'm going to put a rubber hose in place but in the meantime it sits are there upgraded cooler lines or anything for the 47re? Can't find nothing

 

I had the same problem. I took my line off brazed the hole and put a rubber hose around the repaired section that was rubbing the frame. I couldn't find any upgraded lines either

 

They're just steel lines arn't they ? Make your own

 

If I make my own which a really good idea that I never thought of, if I made em bigger would the pressure decrease in the trans?

 

I made my own as well. All 5/8" hydraulic hose with JIC connections. Extremely over built, but I had access to the equipment and supplies. It involves changing every fitting though. Unless you have the equipment handy, I don't suggest doing it the way I did.

 

I would think it would flow a little better and maybe run a little cooler I guess it depends how restrictive the fittings are. I don't know much about trannies but I'm not sure you wanna decrease pressure.

 

Line pressure shouldn't be affected at all with larger lines. Flow will, aiding in reducing trans temp. The reason I went 5/8" hose was to ensure nothing was under 1/2" from the transmission and back. The ports on the trans are only 1/4" NPT, but having everything else larger promotes flow and reduces pressure in the cooling hoses.
