I'm still not quite sure I understand why tapping the wire comming off of the 44 is such a big deal.

Why is it?

I'm not being a smartazz, I really don't know.

The early VP44 would fail if you tapped the injection wire. But that has been fixed in later releases of VP44 pumps. Not to mention it VOID warranty of the vehicle and the VP44 pump too.



Here is a properly tapped injection pump...

Well ... I did that little blue splice thing that came with my Edge. Should I remove it and get that cover? Will it really make a difference?

Why don't you have you're 44 tapped 73?

The plate is on and the wire is present but I've got it currently disconnected to gain the timing and less fuel.

Well, I got her back. She runs!!!! Not like before, tapping the wire really makes a difference.

I'll probably get the plate and do it right. But first I've got other things to take care of.

The plate will have to wait.

Next is the steering box, track bar and steering box support.
