Well, the problem has pretty much gone away. In Kansas it rains about 5 days a year and I have come to find the only time I have this issue is when it is raining/wet out. Does this help the diagnosis? All the plugs under the hood appear to be tight and functional.

Its possible its a ground. Or a module flaking out due to high moisture in its case. If it occurs and you can catch it, take it to a shop with a scope and do a loaded voltage test on the grounds for the instrument cluster. A good shop will have a recorded wave form of the bus system or they may record the wave form from a similar truck. It would allow you to see why the cluster isn't communicating by removing a module at a time. Its possible its the cluster itself. Are you able to communicate via dlc when the no bus is up on the odometer?

i found mine after i had to put a stater in my truck it started then died, so i was messing with the pass side battery and the ground side had a broke connector so i replaced and i havnt had a low voltage to lift pump and no bus light like i did before the ground wire that goes for a smaller size to a plug then bigger to the ground post
