NO BUS in odometer window
NO BUS in odometer window, brake light and abs light lit, check engine light lit. Truck has sat since Thursday, had a little rain yesterday, nothing too major. Ran fine with no codes Wednesday. Unable to get codes with a scan tool right now, no codes accessible with key trick. Any thoughts?

You most likely have no communications. Have you checked all the fuses and checked for communication between the modules? It could be ecm, bcm, or pcm possibly shutting down communications across the board.

I went out a few hours later to check it, and it fixed itself, I love it when it does that! Not really :argh: Everything is working like normal except the pesky check engine light,

I've bad a failed bcm cause both bus codes. A cluster could possibly cause a communications failure as well. I would proceed with the pinpoint test and try a I/c function test with a scan tool. There's multiple possible causes so the pinpoint test will be your best friend.

mine did that it was my tst chip n checked all wiring cluster fuses etc it would be fine then do it then be ok then do it again, ny brake n abs light come n go idk what to do about it lol

It is weird, when it happened, the only gauge that worked on the dash was the tach, no fuel, no amp, no temp, etc. Then go out later and it is fine.

Will the truck run when this is happening?

yea mine would just die and then start back up then drive then die. i had a couple codes for no bus etc n i know alot of the time that group of wires under hood fuse box with bolt gets dirty and not contacting good, then i seen my tst box smoking took it all out reset computer bang all good

I assure pdc corrosion isn't a common problem and usually isn't reflected by a loss of communications unless there is a loss of power. Now if you shorted you tst out it will cause a loss of communications and possibly damage other modules. Kinds sounds like the issue there

mine did something very similar and i scratched my head for months i found the plug in the fuse box under the hood was acting goofy so i put dielectric grease on it and snugged it up all has been well since hope that helps
