thank you sweetv8s10 exactly the size fuse i used and with 18 guage wire and 40 amp fuse on the top red wire

 

So was it the fuseable link?

 

ya after cutting it open realized there was only sections of wire left rest were completely burned out and gone so ran a 40 amp inline fuse. this summer running fuse blocks on fender for quick access. want to say thanks to everyone who had given me advice and apologize for being an *******, just was pissed off at the truck and put me in a bad mood

 

No prob, man. Half the stuff I fix gets done the next day after I've slept on it and thought about it for awhile. Never hurts to take your time and just work it out one step at a time.
