Is there anybody that is running an ATS 618 Stage 2 Package, 1990-93 Dodge 4wd? Im looking for a tranny for my 1st gen dodge and came across this. Im tired of this stock tranny and stock converter

Might think about going with a 47RH out of an 94 or 95 2nd gen. Much better option IMO with the lockup converter.

I would just rebuild the 518 I dont know why everyone has so many problems with them I rebuilt mine a year and a half ago and havent had any problems and I pull with it all the time I think its best to find someone who builds transmissions for hotrods also because these trannys are just like a 727 with an overdrive unit attached to the back of it but thats just my opinion.

An A618 and a 47RH are the samething

And remember if you want to put a lock-up style trans in you have to use the engine adapter off the trucks that came with lockup. Mod the trans mount, and driveshaft(s).
