has anyone taken off the stripe on the side of the truck, the one that seperates the 2-tone paint. it is the one just under the window on the doors. i cant get it to come off for s**t!! if anyone knows how or has done this please reply thanks

 

You could try acetone....

 

heat gun , and lotsa patience. you have to get close enough to soften the glue and gently peel it up . and if you have a peeler like mine the paint will probably come off with the stripe.

 

i do know that 3m makes a wheel that will chuck up in a drill that does a good job on it and it wont remove the paint it does take a little time but once it heats up it works good.the only thing about removing the stripe is that if its still original paint or if the truck sits in the sun alot you will still have a stripe running down the truck because the paint didnt fade behind the stripe as the rest of it did good luck and hope this helps

 

thanks for the quick replys i am going to try heat and pealing it off bc i have pretty decent paint on it and dont want to make anymore scratches or chips. thanks alot everyone
