its more than likely the voltage regulator i have a 91 first gen truck that had the same problem then it was fixed after replacing the voltage regulator located on the firewall near the windsheild wiper motor...
^^^The 93s don't have a voltage regulator like that.
Best guess is the main ground is shot as was stated or if you taped into your headlights for lighting your guages that your drawing to much power and causing problems.
Ihave not tapped into anything it has only done it twice I will check that ground
Even if its not "bad" by looks its probably rotten inside, also they were under sized from the factory. You will be worlds ahead to just swap it out even if its not bad right now.
