hi everyone

i have my 1998 k3500 duelly with a problem. i recently re-installed a remote door lock receiver (since it didint have one when i purchased it and i wanted remotes) when i brought the truck it didint have one (original owner prob took it out for what ever reason) so it was all a matter of plug and play. As soon as i got it, i plugged it in and the programmed the remote and it was working fine. but i later noticed my lights were not turning off, which was a surprise since the truck (since i got it) did not have functioning interior lights unless you turned it on manually with the dimmer switch. After toying around with it, the issue later fixed itself so i didint pay any mind and it worked fine for the entire day, i had figured it was the dimmer switch on the dash since i knew for a fact it didint work( turn it lower then the 2 to top position before the dome lights come one, and all the night time dash lights would go off in the truck) . when i started the truck this morning, same thing, lights would stay one and not turn off, i fixed it by hitting the button on the remote to lock the truck and sure enough the lights went out. Now on my way from work, i had the same problem, the lights wouldn't turn off no mater how much i tried to no avail, but i noticed on the way home, while driving, if i jingled the remote door lock receiver or tapped it, the lights would go out, but if i turned the manual dome lights on with the dash, you would here a click and it would stay on. when i got home i decided to wait it out but with no luck, and it would not turn off in the with the trick of tapping or jingling it, and with no choice i unplugged the remote door lock receiver and the lights finally went out, plug it back in and the lights wont come on till you turn them on manually with the dimmer switch and then stay on, i looked for a short, but so far the wire look all well. i work at a chevy dealer so it was GM part.

has anyone had this problem before? im at a loss.
