the truck has a miss that started about a week ago. poping at WOT. also the injectors are leaking. i am needing some guidence in the right direction. i have heard change injectors, check timing. what do you guys think.

i am getting sdx injectors saturday morning.

 

Timing will cause a pop at WOT, also in the fuel heater bowl just in front of the lift pump there is an O ring in there that will crack and allow air to get sucked into the fuel system.

Slight cracks will not allow air in most of the time but at wide open throttle the cracks expand and you will get some smoke and popping.

I would check timing first though.

I have a 96 that just all of the sudden died, it started back up and it misses and white smokes like the timing slipped, but it will straitin out for about a min and do it again! Idk
