Default Starting problem

Goldie ran this morning exellent as always, then I went back out and nothing. Lights worked, no radio, no nothing, then I put the charger on it, and got some fast clicking, I checked my fuses everything seems ok. What else can I do? Is it my starter? I'm gona pull the alternator and have it checked, along with my battery. Hmmmm, silinoid or starter What to do next... Goldie still won't start after some charger love. I'm always thankful for everyones input

just for fun run a ground wire to the front grill like 6in from the batt that's what solved all my probs because the batt is grounded to the block and years of oil and dirt make for bad contact to the frame get the picture?

Added the extra ground, my alternator tested ok, but you think its not charging? I gotta big honkin 1000CCA battery, and it tested fine too. Goldies running fine, it only gave me the no start once Seems to be ok now
