Default 89 Trans problems

ok my little brother just got an 89 about a month ago and when he bought it the injection pump leaked from an internal gasket...anyhow the truck ran fine just started a little hard from lack of prime, so we got the pump rebuilt put it all back together good to go.

well about a day later the tranny is slipping really bad, i checked the TV cable its good. my questions are what did take off other then the tv cable that has to deal with the tranny, is there any ground wires or anything that maybe got knocked loose or something like that would be making the tranny act up all of a sudden.

the pump is not turned up at all and i know typical dodge tranny but i just think there is something we didnt set back right or something.

The tranny is 100% mechanical. No wires to control everything. Hows the fluid level and color?
