Default looking for a diagnosis ??

hi all, just got my truck back to az from the vegas area. had a slight layover in flagstaff when a electrical wire decided to work its self loose and left me limping. anyhow a couple of days after the arrival home she started to give me fits. including extremely hard starting, white smoke until it warms up, and backfiring even after it warms up. i had in the shop in vegas and all seemed to be well including the supply pump and such. due to the weather down here im going to be unable to get to the big city for a lil bit and was hoping it was something i could tinker on. looking forward to your thoughts as they have helped immensely so far! hope you all have a merry christmas

well it should fire immediately if your pump is working and there is no air in the lines. a little bit of air in the lines could cause the hard starting and such. but white smoke is related to raw unburnt fuel. so my guess is either you are getting a little in the lines after its been off, or one of your injectors is missing. if you let it warm up and shut it off, does it fire right back up?
