Default more fuel at WOT

Hey guys, has anyone used a 2nd gen lift pump and a pressure regulator after the filter to maintain a constant fuel pressure at, say, 15 to 18 psi? Right now at 3/4throttle my pressure
stays at 16, at WOT it drops to 0

Yes. You can get a low pressure piston lift pump that will be set at the correct PSI and not need the regulator.

Here are the parts you need and the part numbers

Your going the need to trim the insulation off th eside the block to make it fit.

I've got that pump already but seem to be loosing my pressure across the filter. I am putting a stock filter from a 2nd gen on later this week, but am sort of pesemistic about
the result. Hope it's ok but would like a "PLAN B" Sorry, I did't mention the pump in my sig.

with tha pump (check the part number) you dont need a pressure regulator. It wont make too much pressue. You fuel pressure dropping to 0 is most lickly from the small *** stock lines. Replace them with some 3/8" line and see were you are.

Thanks guys,
I'll try the filter first and go from there. That will be the cheapest, then upgrading the feed line, last a high pressure lift pump and a pressure regulator

It will take a little extra money or some hard looking, but what I did was use a second gen pump but put the low pressure spring in it. The second gen pump has a bigger piston bore in it were as the the low pressure unit has a smaller bore and piston. So in thery u would have the best of both worlds high volume at a low pressure. My fuel pressure stays at a constant 16psi weither at idle or WOT. Also I used all 1/2" lines, Made a draw straw for the tank, and bought the fitting from vulcan that goes into the injection pump to connect 1/2" fuel hose. Do that stuff and no more fuel starving issues! Hope this helps!
