I can get a Super 40 for $900 shipped plus about $120-$140 for 4" DP.

for a couple hundred more you can get a S300... For the same price you can get a noce used S300

No its a good turbo. Just in its stock form like if you just ordered a factory replacment or went to the junk yard and found one off a big truck you would do better with a Super40. The 40 flows more air.

All the ones you buy from vendors like Industrial Injection, HTT, ect. are aftermarket (been modified from stock) and flow better then the Super40.

I talked directly to borge warners tech guy and he told me the 57mm S300 model has a MAP of 60 pounds per min and will flow 870 cfm's. He did not recomend boosting over 45 psi.

Ya I think for $20 more I can get the 62/65/12, but I heard that was for more performance then towing/DD.

Plus I might be getting an 89 Reg. Cab cummins with a 5 speed tranny for $500 for the whole truck to converte my truck to a manual.

Are you against getting a used turbo?

I've seen many used HX40's go for $400-$500 with less than 20K miles on them.

A Super HX40 is a wonderful towing turbo, and is capable of cooling 400rwhp. That's the direction I am going to go, but I'm sure a 62/65/12 would be fine too.

i've hard very hard time find a turbo that is bigger then an HX35 or a stock turbo.

I've has very good luck with the CompD (Competition Diesel Forums) classfields. That is a performance oriented site, so a lot of guys are selling their "small" turbo's to go bigger, and usually have a good price.

I'd look on there for a couple weeks, and I can almost guarantee you what you want will pop up.

The super still does more
I would not waste my money on a factory BW turbo. Get one from a compay that makes performance turbos with a 62 wheel.
But I'm also not a fan of the HX40 turbos so that would be a touh call!

so what about daily driving/ towing which turbo would be good for that.
