The spring starts to move but it has to take up the "slack" if you will. I mean you can leave it alone and send little parts of the turbo through your engine when the wheel decides to make a quick exit if you want but I would take teh time to tune the wastegate. I can make mine open at 10psi or stay completly closed. You wont get it in one shot, it will take some tuning but you will be rewarded with a better running safe truck.
