I'm confused... Your saying you put a plate to disable the waste gate? That kinda defets the purpose of teh wastegate...

thats what i was going for they where both already wastegated but if i left them hooked up it would open at 15psi and that is no fun i am gonna get a boost controller to put inline to my wastegate so i can set it to open at a higher boost level, the exhaust housing on my stock turbo came from a hx35w from a second gen but either way the wastegate on the hx40 is the one i need to open

my stock h1c and a hx40 feeding that

If your getting 60psi out of a h1c/hx40 you need to wastegate that bad boy. Open your gates back up. You can adjust the gate rod on them to get them to open later. All you are doing is blowing hot air and asking to explode a turbo.

i dont think that i am going to be able to adjust it so that it opens that high though because adjusting the rod just changes the amount that it opens the spring in the diapham will still open at 15psi regardless of the rod adustment

your running an h1c over an hx40? what housing is on the hx40? and what trans do you have auto or stick? if auto i bet you could run the hx40 alone.

its a 727 3 speed and i did have the hx40 on there by itself before it has a 18cm exhaust housing on it, it had alot of lag and didnt make mutch more boost because of all the lag due to the fact that it is 74mm vs the stock which is 54mm
