around 80 psi is when we did one.

did ours with a HC5A modified, BUT we went from stock turbo to this, we had fun for about 10 secs.

if you are getting 60psi AND still running, WOW.

how are you getting that much boost of a ve pump? we upgraded our pump to the 7100

RSWORDS was pinning his boost gauge at 60 psi and bouncing it off the stop but it didn't last long. Get ready to put a head gasket on it im afraid

There was a guy on another forum who ran his truck at 60+psi for months with no problem, but eventually he did blow the gasket. I'd say he was lucky to run that long though.

I'd say you're about due for a new gasket.

I ran for months at 58-60 on the original stock... Re-torqued my head bolts to 125 ft/lbs and in lased about two days. Took the head off, milled it flat, reinstalled with stock head bolts. Torqued to 80, 90, 100, 110, 115, 120, 125, then finally to 130 ft/lbs. Ran a solid 6psi (on the peg) for a few months and now spraying a .082 jet of Nitrous on top of it. Still holding strong... For now... I know it wont be long.

I think my luck has been from letting the engine get completely warmed up for about 5 min before leaning on it too hard.

Yeah, letting it warm up is a pretty big factor. I think "gearjammer91" went through a couple gaskets because he didn't let his truck warm up before he started to show off.

1990cummins, what kind of timing are you running?

i haven't messed with my timing, i got my pump tweaked pritty mutch as far as i can with out it runnin away, bullydog fuel pin, and i made my own twin turbo setup using a hx40 and my stock turbo, but on my stock h1c i used a intake housing and pinwheel from a 93 cause they are bigger and i put a 12cm exhaust housing on it, i also found that the throttle cable wasnt completely opening the pump so i spaced it out and that is when it started pegging the gauge before it would run around 5opsi

Stock timing is probably what is keeping the gasket alive.

What size injectors are you running, the stock Non I/C?

I would suggest advancing the timing for more power, but it may make your gasket not like you very much...

i have tossed the idea around so how do you guys do it do you rotate the pump or actually pull the cover off and move the pump gear and they are the stock injectors

with stock injectors I would rotate the pump 1/8" Max. If you tow I would de even less. Use the factory mark frome teh pump to the timing housing for your reference.
