Default Timing Advance

just wondering what kind of things i should look for with a timing advance? more bottom end, less bottom end more top end, less top end, higher egts, quicker spool basically the good, the bad and the be weary of. trucks a 93 single wheel in the process of a tranny build with better torque convertor, turned up pump, bhaf, stacks, and shopping for a turbo better suited for towing oh and about how many degrees is a good number

adavancing timing will yeild better "top" end.It does raise temps though ,as well as cylinder pressure.to much and youll blow a HG.I wouldnt go above 1200f. If thats what your talking about.

your pyro should read lower because you are burning all the fuel more efficently. You will see a good jump in fuel milage and better throtte responce. 1/16" to 1/8" bump should not yeild and bad traits unless there is already a problem. I would not tow heavy with any more then a 1/8" bump.

yes the top goes towads the engine. If you look were the pump meets the timing case there should be a mark on it (if not make one with a chisle) use that mark to mearsure your distance.
