Just remember your gears will suffer from more stress in reverse, they're made to push in drive, not pull in reverse.

Strike that, pull in drive, not push in reverse... yadot cixelsyd lla m'I (I'm all dyslexic today backwards, )

 

A friend of mine built a big truck some time ago. He was working on making a rear steer set up but in the meen time put a front axle on the rear just to play in the mud with. It lasted are ran real good but when we finally had a set up to put in and took the make shift one apart the gears were trashed from going in reverse at high speeds like that.
