Injector decision

not worth your time. the billet 6 blade hx40 wheel is better than a 7 blade. but all hx30,35 and 40 turbos have the same shaft diameter. that said when you put the most aggressive heaviest comp wheel on the small shaft you are flirting with a bomb. like i said before an s300 is a much stronger charger with a very similar personality to a hx35 in its smaller form. its larger variants can be a pain to drive around. an s3 is a much hardier charger with way more potential than an hx35,40 or he351 could ever have. if $$$ is tight that do an hx with stock injectors if your wife will let you spend a little, get a decent set of injectors and an appropriate sized charger.

well I already had the 5x12 s in and have been happy with them.. I did the 60 comp. upgrade a while back and it made a huge dif.. I picked up a wastgated 14 and put it on since my last post.. not sure what to think about it.. boost is lower and egt are up a bit but I need to adjust my boost elbo.. was kinda curious if the 14 would cool things down and kinda undecided at this point... maybe it will get cooler with a little more boost with the elbo adjusted???? just looking for input.. didn't mean to intrude on the thread guys!!

I did drill a 3/4" hole in the divider, and it has an adjustable boost elbow (maybe I'll have a clue what it does after I get a boost gauge).

they move the same amount of air roughly. the benefits with the later model charger is the smaller, gated housing aid tremendously in spool-up time. all you do is run a boost line from the intake side to the waste gate actuator and the gate will function as designed. factory they build 17-19psi before the open. and hx35 is a bolt on upgrade, no mods needed
