I believe SDX split up and, Chris, the guy that did their injectors started his own company, DFI. I've been running the DFI 5x.012 SAC's for about a month and I'm really happy with them, I picked up quite a bit of power, mpg's, and they run cleaner.

What supporting modifications besides a turbo would I need with 5x0.014's?

ide run an electric lift pump and put a gov spring on the pump myself. maybe a fuel pin. the truck still needs to rev out to make much of any power. so do a few things that help in that department.

I will disagree with you mainly because I've run both a modified H1C and an HTT 62/64/14 on the same truck with the same injectors. The HTT has been harder to keep the EGT under control while towing.

I have the HX35 and 5x.012 injectors. Got it all used with a spare VE pump for $300. The 4" DE exhaust kit cost me more.

Way less smoke, pulls great, spools fast. Love the turbo whistle. Towed a few things and very manageable. Only gets hot when lugging it.

Governor spring is next, and a low pressure piston lift pump.

Will an hx35 push enough air for 5x0.014's?

That's kind of backwards.... Fuel makes the turbo work.

Stock non-intercooled injectors can supposedly max out an HX35. Your skinny pedal and fuel screw determine the fuel rate through the injector holes. If I was buying new injectors, I would make sure they are at least large enough to run with a 14mm pump head.

What turbo would y'all recommend? And what is the flange on a stock turbo?

I still recommend the Hx35 or HE351cw since they can be had very cheap used and spool very fast (excellent for stick shift). You can also change the exhaust housings affordably if they are too tight/hot for your liking. These two turbos use the same flange as the stock H1c.... Not sure but it might be T3 flange.
