Default Common Airdog problem or something else?

Ive had my airdog on since last christmas and one thing ive noticed is whenever you go to change the fuel filter, fuel automatically rushes out of the system and doesnt stop until ovbiously you get the new one on. Everything is hooked up the way it should, i used the drop tube they give you instead of a fuel sump which i regret . But it almost acts like it has a constant draw from the system which there shouldnt be i wouldnt think. It happens on both mine and my buddies 93 and he as a sump, my other buddy has one on his 96 same model airdog and his doesnt. Just wanted to see if anyone else has this problem with theirs or knows why it does this and how if possible to fix it. Tired of draining alot of fuel trying to change a filter.
Thanks,
Jordan
