Hey guys. Picked up a 91 non intercooled first gen and when I have been driving for a while (truck gets warmed up) my getrag 360 starts to sound like a scratching noise when I have the clutch pushed in. It doesn't do it all the time but it happens quiet frequently. Doesn't matter what gear it's in but only when I'm pushing in the clutch. Shifts perfect and doesn't have a sound when the clutch is out. I did a oil change on it and I read to use 5w-30 motor oil. Didn't seem to help.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like your throwout bearing is going out or already gone. Time to pull the transmission.

While you are in there, replace the pilot bearing as well. Mine went before the throughout bearing did.
