Recently my truck started slipping badly in 3rd gear. To the point where anything more than barely touchimg the throttle makes it seem like its in neutral. I just remembered for some reason whem i was changing the oil i hit my shoulder on the tv cable by the tranny but didnt think anything of it. Would moving it back forward be a quick fix? Snow is on its way tonight and i gotta get the ol lady from work and would feel better with the truck than the capri

Also want to say 1st and 2nd gear work fine

 

Just make sure it's connected and has full travel, and you should be fine. If you knocked it off, reconnect it, as the trans will burn up without it.

 

I was looking underneath and i cant find a bracket for the tv cable. The cable is just hooked on both ends. I drove it yesterday and it would engage when i manually upshifted but if i pushed the pedal down too far it would act like it went into neutral and if i let off far enough it would re-engage
