I had the same problem with 95 cummins...turned out to be a bad speed sensor.

check your fluid level with the truck on level ground and in NEUTRAL with the engine running at operating temp, MOST trucks are about 1-2 quarts low if they read full in park and then are checked in neutral..... sounds stupid but it might be the problem....

If its a GPS just go to end customes and get a GPS delete I just got one its sweet

I would probably say that it might be caused by a speed sensor. Mine has that issue, and I will replace the sensor on the rear diff.

so the tps seems fine. i stoped at the dealership and they can re-flash the truck for 85 bucks but with no gaurantee fix. i was thinking, could i just get a trans controller from another truck? say a 97 with the 47re. that should take care of the problem rite?

trans fluid was a tad low. topped it off but havnt driven it yet.
