tank-lines-fuel heater-lift pump-line-fuel filter-line to IP- IP- OFV- return to the tank

 

took line loose from rear of engine. Rubber line going to steel to braded line.
no going through pre-filter, just to tank.

 

Did you remove the cap ?

 

cap off, is it possible to put in draw straw without removing tank? Its full, and no one to help me take bed off.

my next check is to run fuel hose from 5 gal can to lift pump to confirm my problem is at tank pickup, but have to work next three days so wont be able to test ideas till then.

 

There is a screen under the pickup tube, my truck had 546000 miles when I scapped the body for a 3rd gen. Since I'm a tight wad I pulled the pickup tube out of it and put it in my 3rd gen module instead of buying Vulcan straw. The screen was 80% clogged at least. It's a possibility but if it is that I would buy diesel elsewhere.. The previous owner of my engine ran veggy waste oil for the last 300k so I wasn't suprised about the prefilter

 

i'm having same issues ran outta gas put 5g in ran fine till i filled it up later that day and problems. my truck is stock. there is NOT a lift pump in tank just two filters and guaege cleaned the first filer but didnt touch the second. so now im pretty sure its the filter inside the white tube or ofv
