im new to this know my basics but by "defuel" u mean? i hav noticed at like 2600 my truck jst fall s flat on its face
That's the governor weights overcoming the springs. As stated before around 2200 the weights start to overcome the gov springs resulting in your "defuel" you're actually lucky to get 2600 before the trucks ***** disappear completely but I'm sure it starts fading off before then. It's actually a common problem with the automatics where it hangs in gear at high throttle input and high rpms. The engine quits "pulling" and is unable to reach the shift point. That's why a lot of guys complain about having to "lift" the throttle for the trans to shift. It Can be alleviated by a properly adjusted TV cable. Just for future reference if you run into that problem.
