Default still having tranny issues

Hey guys I fixed my tps but my trans still won't shift correct. At highway speeds it will shift normal till it gets warm then the trans temp light will come on and it will downshift into 3rd then the trans light will go off and it willl shift up and it will keep doing this untill I get off the highway. Sometimes the light will stay on for the hole ride home and won't come out of 3rd nomatter how hard I hammer the throttle

could be temp sensor in trans. if they go out you will have 3rd gear only, even from a dead stop. check for codes. Ive seen gov. press. sensors and solenoids cause that problem minus the trans temp light.

youll need to check it but, yes it will put trans into limp and youll have only 3rd. you can check sensor ohms should be around 1000 ohms at room temperature. Check and see if the connector is secure too. The temp sensor should be part of the gov. press. sensor. If it tests bad id say youll wana tell the parts house you need a gov. press. sensor.

with the truck not started pull the shift lever into each gear if the indicator shows it is between gears adjust linkage.then at the drivers side top of the tranny unplug the overdrive connector then plug it back in this may reset overdrive.then strart it up let it idle about 25 minutes check for any fluid coming from the tranny inspection plate.a built tranny will shift fine until the fluid heats up overdrive will be the first to give trouble and you may have a seal or pump problem.when you have checked all the above get the solenoid pack scaned.chances are its not the temp sensor.
