Default fuel sending unit leavel kit problems

so heres my problem when i bought my truck the fuel guage did not work i did some digging and found that the guy who owned it befor must have did some tinkering because the plug was not connected, and he ran ruber fuel lines, i connected the plug and gave it a shake and it started to work!! after going for a ride i found that the guages kept droping now it stayed at e but for some reason when i punch the skinny pedal the guage rises, its craziness also when he ran the new lines he must have broke the ports to the lines that run into the tank because he drilled out the top of the unit and ran the rubber lines all the way into the tank?!! i recently picked up a new used sending unit but have the same problem with the the port holes that the lines connect to... any info would be great apreciated

not real sure what you are saying but if someone has replaced the original fuel lines and ran them into the tank youll need to get original fuel lines put back cause they have pined connector you gata have to reconnect the sending unit.
