hate this transmission..help
ok.. my transmission just started its period or something because this is the third time this has happened and im gettin tired of it.. time to fix it.. what it does is one morning i can go out there and start it up.. it will slip so bad it dont wanna pull out.. then when it finally gets up to speed it wont shift into overdrive and the rpms are higher at 40 when its like this then it is when its normal so im guessin its missin another gear also.. then u can kill it. then start it back up and its fine sometimes. but this time its not fixing itself.. last time it did this was a little over 2 months ago and then also a month before that.. the valve body is brand new.. the torque converter is 3 years old.. and the fluid was changed 4 thousand miles ago.. someone help me before i get so mad i slam it in reverse at 50

When you start it in the morning let it run in "N" for a minute or so before you take off. If you start it and go directly from "P" to "D" to go it won't get the fluid it needs to go.
The overdrive shifting issue sounds electronic, the throttle position sensor is where I would go first.
These transmissions are a piece of work even built up!

a stock VB like stated wont circulate fluid unless it is out of park. i know mine tranny is the RH but it WILL NOT shift into OD unless the fluid is up to temp. maybe 2 miles down the road or so. what kind of line pressure is your VB set at? maybe something is getting out of wack in that department. you can check your 2nd gear band on the driverside of the tranny. 13/16 jam nut and a 3/8ish bolt, behind the linkage. gently tighten the bolt till it bottoms out on the band then back it off 3/4 of a turn. see if that helps the grappyness.
