Default killer pin

picked up a used motor and I was inspecting it. When I pulled the front cover the killer pin was missing. Do I need to replace it or? the motor was running well when I pulled it.
Thanks!

I strongly suggest replacing it and putting a KDP retainer on it. Keeping that housing in its proper location is a damn good idea. At this point, the bolts should, SHOULD being the key word, hold everything in place. The holes in the housing will have some wiggle room though, and it may walk around on you.

Ok, thanks, but if I understand you it's only purpose is to keep the housing aligned. Thanks again, I'll see if I can get one at Dodge.
