trailer brakes!?

trailer brakes!?
so i plugged my controller into the factory wiring pigtail under my dash and ran a wire from the blue wire to my 7 way in the back but it doesnt work it flickers green sometimes...im hearing about some fuse under the hood what is wrong here?
