stack drone inside cab?
#31
I'm running a single stack on the passenger side of my truck, 5" the whole way back from the downpipe.
It sure does drone at some speeds, but other times sounds awesome. I run around 2100-2200 rpm at highway speed and with the windows closed it's all engine, no real drone. Get on the throttle and the exhaust gets loud pretty quick.
I'm running a 1994 F350 reg cab, 4x4 with a 91.5 12v. I prefer the rotary 12v, they are slightly quieter in my opinion than the p-pumped engines.

update. got it all put on, 5" from DP back to a 5" stack, thing sounds awesome!
windows down, its 10x quieter in the cab, and even windows up, you can barely hear it. about 30mph in 3rd, 52 in 3rd, and a little over 70 its gets loud in the cab for just a second. cruising in 5th anywhere from 50 to 70 you can barely hear the exhaust

But think about it this way. If Im in 4 lane traffic in town, and someone is driving beside me (particulary a car), with side exit exhaust all that sound is going directly to their window, whereas with a stack, its going up in the air. I feel this is much less disruptive and shocking to little ol granny and grandpas in their caddys and town cars driving next to me

It is a very unique sounding truck I should make a youtube video one day. I love driving it with the rear window open, but I usually have to wear my earplugs for a long drive if I do that.
