my truck runs an drives great in forward but when i go to back up it dies but it fires right up,my gas tank strap is broken on the back closest to the back wheels could this be why it dies? also when i fire it up in the morning an go i hit the brakes to stop an it starts to die but if i put it in park its fine u guys think my idle is way to low? i need all the help i can get on this ive replaced everything possible thanks -pat

theres a screw with a locknut on the back of your pump below your afc housing. kinda gotta feel for it more or less. loosen that top bolt up thats higher rpm's

 

kinda thought it was a ,low idle an the funny thing is it sometimes does forward to but most often in reverse thanks guys i love this site alot

ment to add to the posting my gas gauge dont work could this be due to my rear strap broken or is the actual gauge junk or is it the floater thing in the tank?
