Have a 94 12 valve dies when towing a horse trailer.
Has also died once when not towing but traveling with ac on in 106 degree weather.
Electronics stay on but motor loses power then dies. Pretty sure it's fuel issue. But looking for more experienced input.

 

I'd say it's your lift pump. Lift pumps on the 12 valves are mechanical and they ride of the crankshaft. I'd recommend getting a fuel pressure gauge so you know if it's your pump or not.
