no thanks man. Nothing beats rowing thru the gears and hearing that wg venting during shifts. It's euphoric and nothing beats it. I thought my psd was fun and had good sound, but this 12v takes euphoria to a whole other level.

Come to IL Dan has the timing kit and you can ask him about when he slipped his clutch at the pull. Stock clutches are fine until you try to pull once. Then I can stomp your 12v and make ya miss the 7.3! Then when you get her all beefed up you can come stomp me back

Ya that's what I'm hearing hehe. You just trying to get me to IL son?
Are you saying my stock clutch will hold up for a bit if I go easy on it?

if you baby it your stock clutch it will do fine, but once you start beating on it and it slips once it will slip easier and easier everytime.

If you don't slip shift speed shift the stocker should hold for a while.

As for the hammering on it, the clutch was made to handel the stock power for the cummins, when you doubble the stock output you can't expect it to hold for long. It's not so much the HP that slips the stock clutch ( or any for that matter) its all about the torque

Ya that was my issue when I went out for my first test drive post-fuel plate, I was slipping during shifts. The reason I did that was because my psd's 6spd was so rough on shifts, I had to slip it so the people inside wouldn't break their necks. This cummins shifts way smooth, I just forget I dont need to slip shift it.
But I was always to the understand that trucks w/ weak clutches will hold up fine IF you hammer it when in gear, and not on take off or when shifting. Just like my old 5.0's trans; was a very weak trans, but when shifted when fully into gear, they would still last a good bit.
