Default injection pump issue

i have a 98 ram 3500 4x4 5 speed. i bought it from an old guy and he turned the pump down to try to get better fuel economy. i was told to turn the fuel screw or smoke screw on the back of the injection pump. im not sure wat that is or which way to turn it. anyone have pictures for the retard with my first diesel. anything will help.

There are 2 screws that hold the cap on to get to the smoke screw the slotted one and a breakoff screw. Look here for more info https://www.dieselbombers.com/5-9l-1...ning-mods.html

The smoke screw is the one on the back of the AFC near the middle of the housing, running parallel with the motor.
