Shop didn't check the timing I only spoke to the service writer who had the mechanic come to speak to me, the mechanic said timing wouldn't cause this issue. I have made an appointment to re-set the timing to 15 BTC for Thursday
I haven't checked to see if this happens when it's cold as I don't throttle it hard when it isn't warmed up.
I will re post in a few days and let you know the results of the $250 timing reset.
