it allows fuel to flow to the pump, its just that the barrels are rotated back to the point that the spill ports are always open, thus returning fuel instead of injecting it

Since when did the fuel shutoff lever control the rack? Move the throttle linkage on the pump, if the governor lever tips, but the rack does not advance with it, the rack is hung.

How do I free it up? And what will cause it to do that? And you are saying when I move the linkage the rack should move to. So what does the shutoff lever do?

Do yourself a favor, quit wasting time and spending money on parts, pull the pump off. Spend some time making a few calls to find a decent injection shop, take the pump to said shop and let them fix it, since they received an education in for task.

It's not a lack of knowing what you are doing, it is a lack of the tools and equipment to fix the problem. I don't like wasting my time, I won't tell anyone else to waste their's.

Yes, me to. Im confused. I just want to fix my truck without buying a new pump. And I know he did not say I had to buy a new pump, but still did not give a solution, but after I bring it to a shop I might as well have bought a new one.

I do not recall ANYWHERE Weston told you you need to buy a new pump.

He did advise you that if you do not know what your doing to have the pump removed and send it to a shop that knows whatb they are doing to have it repaired. This is not an item you want to mess with and to fix it correctly you will need the correct tools and a pump stand to ensure the problem has been fixed before the install can happen.

However,I know its your money and everyone always wants the cheap way out but people need to understand that sometimes the cheap way is not going to be the best way and by going that route it may end up costing you more money in the long run.......Andy
