Default hard start.

just with in the last few weeks when i get up an remote start my truck it takes a few time. when i use my key it also takes a few time, could this be that the fuel filter needs to be changed? its not like its really cold here in the mornings. id say low 60's

Could be the filter. How old is the battery? I just had to replace my battery, started the same way, from a cold start. Took longer to start, Have the battery load tested. Just a thought?

If the rubber fuel lines havent been changed then chances are they need to be...they will suck air without visible signs of leaking. could be the filter, also u might want to clean the pre filter/ fuel heater screen while u are at it.

There is a check valve in the Injector pump or lift pump (Somebody will correct me on this) But it could be losing prime, causing the slow start. I've seen exactly what your describing being caused by that.

That would be the OFV....you'll need a FP gauge to really diagnose the OFV though.
