davo...
You of course realize that a 10 plate down low on 94-95 auto trucks is about as lean as one could get?.Thus the reason for my comment about using a grind like a 5 for them down low and a 0 up top.Not all trucks are 215 trucks and they do not respond with a 100 like the stick rides.

Hence no smoke but you're right running it too lean is just as bad as too rich awe hell just cut the plate to a 0 run it mid position with the afc tuned and get a tranny soon. I know I need one

This is a quicky of how I ground my stock plate. Remember this is on a '98 215 pump with a 5 speed. I had to turn back the afc springs about 15 clicks to get the smoke under control, but it still creates an obstacle for those behind me to drive around every time I shift.

what do you guys think, ive got a bone stock 1997 12v 4x4 5 speed. Its got 85,000 miles on it. I want to do some mods. Do you think the 100 grind would be the best? I want to be able to drive it on the street everyday with out smoking out the road but have more power when i want to get on it. Basicly i want to improve my mpg when im going easy on it and have more hp when i get on it hard.
